The Father says today, find time to sit quietly in My presence. You think I'm done with you because you've been reading the tea leaves of the circumstance and don't see any hope. I am not finished with you even when the outward signs have faded. You have grown accustomed to the high places of emotional elevation, but I am teaching you that My government over your life is not dependent on how you feel, but on how you obey. When the wind of excitement dies down and the landscape feels dry, do not panic or look for a new spectacle to sustain you. Instead, return to the last word I gave you and the specific assignment where you know My hand was clearly at work. Be faithful in that small, steady place of obedience, for My kingdom is established in the hidden things of your heart, not in the loud noise of the world. I am the jealous God who will not share My glory with the flesh or with external dependencies, so I am asking you to stop running after the suggestions of others and simply listen to the still, small voice that knows the way to life.

Continue to sit quietly with Me, for I am coming to you as the Teacher to fill in the blanks and show you the path that leads to true life. You have spent time trying to talk yourself into change through outside means, but I am now inviting you to trust the simple act of doing what you know is right. I long to shelter you under My wings and bring you into a mature stability where the garbage and aggravation of present distress are left behind. This is your time to grow up and grow on, standing upright on your feet as the child of My right hand. I will not leave you in a patchwork of contradiction, but I will bring the rivulets of refreshing from the river of My Spirit to quench the parched condition of your soul. Receive this season of favor upon your spirit, soul, and body, and rest in the knowledge that I am steadily leading you through.
